FBSL and its congregation has been appointed by God's Word (Mathew 28:19-20) to serve it's community by sharing the love of His Son.
Serving the community while sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus is a powerful way to demonstrate Christian faith in action.
- Living Out the Gospel: Jesus emphasized serving others as a core part of his ministry. By actively serving our communities, we embody the love and compassion that Jesus demonstrated.
- Building Relationships: Serving alongside others creates opportunities for genuine connection and relationship-building. This opens doors for natural conversations about faith and allows people to witness the transformative power of Christ in our lives.
- Meeting Real Needs: Addressing practical needs like hunger, homelessness, or poverty demonstrates the tangible love of Christ. It shows that faith is not just about beliefs, but about action that makes a real difference in people's lives.
- Sharing Hope: As we serve, we can share our hope in Jesus with others. This can be done through our words, our actions, and by simply being present and offering a listening ear.
- Fulfilling the Great Commission: Serving the community aligns with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), which calls Christians to go and make disciples of all nations.
